Staying at Shelly Beach Motel was a real treat! The location literally just across the road from the beach made it super convenient for morning swims and sunset strolls. The kitchenette in our family room was well equipped, allowing us to whip up quick meals. Kirsty, the host, provided exceptional service, making us feel right at home. The outdoor barbecue area was perfect for our family gatherings, and the linens on the beds were incredibly comfy. While the stairs to our room were a bit challenging for older family members, staff readily assisted with our luggage, which was much appreciated. a lovely place that I’d happily recommend, despite the slight inconvenience with the stairs.

We had a fantastic one-night stay! The room was very clean and comfortable, with a well-equipped kitchen that exceeded our expectations. We loved the lovely views from the balcony and the accommodating staff made our visit even more enjoyable.

Motorbike noise in the afternoon.

We had a lovely stay with spacious rooms that were amazingly clean and well-furnished. The pet-friendly vibe made our trip even better! Only downside? The light traffic noise was noticeable at times.

the noise from the busy road was just insufferable, almost ruined my experience. how am i supposed to relax? and why didn’t anyone upgrade my room? seirously, i had a right to expect that. i woudl have given a good review but of course, they just couldn’t rise to the occasion.

Noise from the busy road disrupts the tranquil vibe!!! A little cafe closer would make late-night snacks more convenient!!! Additional parking space could also be a great asset with multiple vehicles!!!

Had a great time with friends! The location was perfect for whale watching and all sorts of water sports like kayaking and water-skiing. Everything was super convenient, with tours easily bookable right at the motel. The grassy area out front was ideal for relaxing after our adventures!

One downside was the motorbike noise we occasionally heard during the afternoons, which was a bit disruptive.

This was just a prime choice for a passing visit in Hervey Bay with great value. The owners were super friendly and accommodating, providing a lovely fenced-off grassy area with ocean views. Make sure to enjoy the nearby food places for a quick meal.

Family with children paradise

The two sisters running the place are a real breath of fresh air,, they made us feel at home right when we walked in. The room was super clean and even had all the plates and utensils we needed to cook a meal, plus the fridge was big enough for our beers! !

It wasn't exactly a bargain, but at the end of the day, it was worth every cent.
